I am an experienced clinical psychologist and can assess, diagnose, and treat people with distress and/or mental health issues. I have worked in hospital, community health, university, private mental health, non-government organisations, and in private practice settings. I changed careers from law to psychology to help people more deeply and in ways that can impact all areas of their lives. I absolutely love my work and experience a lot of meaning and purpose from working collaboratively with my clients, whom I respect greatly.

I have a broad range of clinical interests and influences. I have an integrative attachment-informed approach and use evidence-based insight-oriented therapies and action-oriented therapies. I recognise that my clients have individual needs and goals and a one-sized-fits-all approach is not useful. My practice name reflects this understanding and I work with my clients using a collaborative and tailored approach to their individual needs and preferences. Please click here to see my current clinical interests and areas I work in.

I have a strong commitment to ethical and evidence-based practice (I haven’t forgotten my legal roots!) and will be open and honest about what is realistic (by the way, those social media images of psychological health and wellness where people are 100% happy, 100% of the time, are not realistic…).

I am registered with the Australian Health Practitioners Agency (AHPRA) as a psychologist with an endorsement as a clinical psychologist. AHPRA has a free online search for you to see whether someone is a registered health professional and whether there are any restrictions on their ability to practise (and what those restrictions are). I encourage you to do this search before making an appointment with any health professional to make sure they are qualified, registered and if there are restrictions on their practise that you are not comfortable with (let’s face it, anyone can say anything on the internet so it's always good to check). Feel free to practise by searching for me on the AHPRA website here

I am a full member of the Australian Psychology Society (APS) and a Fellow of the APS College of Clinical Psychologists (FCCLP). This requires a minimum of 8 years of training including 6 years of university training in psychology and around 2 years of additional specialised supervision. I continue to undertake regular professional development and supervision and I am always looking to learn more to help me better help my clients.

When I’m not working, I enjoy catching up with friends, contemplating life (preferably while looking at the ocean), reading, listening to live music, comedy, and trying new things. It’s ok if you don’t share any of my interests. Our time together will be about you, not me!

If you think we might work well together, please see my appointment types and contact here.
